Unpublished Comments Published!

It's been a while since I've signed into this thing, but after all the garbage that piled up, I'm sure you can't blame me.

I did notice 6 unpublished comments to my blog. I've tried to have them published, but Blogger isn't letting me for some reason. Thank goodness for comment notifications.

The comments will be reproduced within this post instead.

Hi Anthony - Trystan from Righteous Indignation Podcast here (www.ripodcast.co.uk).

I spent Saturday at an event related to ghosts, ghouls and all things strange. It just so happened that David Carter-Green was present and I ended up having a good chat with him about the whole Highgate thing. He came across as a very articulate and pleasant man who treated the situation with a good sense of humour.

In regard to being friends or followers of anyone on Facebook as being some badge of allegiance I would reconsider. I am Facebook friends with David Farrant and also, until recently, with Sean Manchester. I only removed the latter after he threatened to get our podcast website closed down.

Next up, John Baldry's Cat's comment to "I'm Checking In" (Tue, Oct 27, 2009 at 6:06 AM):

I think David's response to the bishop's "offer" was a joke, i.e. "Sure, I'll with meet you, if your internet alter ego is there too." Probably safe to say he never intended to show up on the man's doorstep and risk it being interpreted to authorities as harassment. I don't know the actual details, but it seems Sean and David have a past history of legal court proceedings with charges and counter changes going back several years that featured accusations of "harassment" from both sides.

The reason for the expulsion is an increasing number of worrying comments posted by Carter-Green on inappropriate groups. Concern arose solely due to the fact that Carter-Green has always portrayed himself as a devout Christian who belongs to the Orthodox Church. The impression being given to Seán Manchester was at odds with the activity and behaviour Carter-Green was displaying on Facebook and elsewhere.

A comment posted by Carter-Green on a bizarre Facebook group called "David Carter-Green is Totty" reads:

"Have you tried my new line in aftershave, DCG's 'Stench of Death'? It combines the distinctive yet subtle smell of the mortuary, with just a hint of freshly dug grave. It's proved very popular with heavy metal rock fans."

What Carter-Green is now claiming about his non-endorsement of Seán Manchester's views on vampires contradicts what he has written on paranormal websites he has joined that are independent of the Vampire Research Society and Seán Manchester.

It should be made absolutely clear that Carter-Green made all the approaches to Seán Manchester and groups associated with the latter. How he ever became an admin on one or two of them is a mystery and clearly a mistake now rectified.

Carter-Green has shown erratic behaviour in the past where he criticised Seán Manchester's account of the Highgate Vampire case, and then, some time later, endorsed it on paranormal websites.

Mounting anomalies and instability where David Carter-Green is concerned made his expulsion inevitable. He is therefore no longer the concern of anyone associated with Seán Manchester.

I was quite surprised to see a comment left on "Strange Goings-On at Facebook" by the mysterious David Carter-Green!

I was even more surprised to see what he wrote:

Hello. I am the mysterious individual called David Carter- Green, and I can assure that I really do exist!
Because of my interest in the paranormal, I became Facebook friends with Sean Manchester (along with about 2000+ other people!)and corresponded with him. I also, out of curiosity, joined several of his Facebook groups and have read several of his books.
However, I have never met him, do not know him, and I certainly DO NOT endorse his views on vampires or believe his account of the Highgate case!
Moreover, I was just as surprised as anyone to find myself promoted to 'admin' on his ''Friends of...'' site!
I would like it to be known that I have now cut my ties with Sean Manchester, and am no longer a member of any of his groups.

I checked out the VRS Facebook group he had been a member of, and sure enough, he was no longer serving as one of its admins.

However, I should also point out that he still follows Bishop † Seán † Manchester.

So why was he randomly added as an admin?

Maybe Manchester was confident that in their correspondence, he had gained an "ally" for his cause. Or maybe he did so to give the impression that independent sources actually support his claims.

Failed on both accounts.

The Not-So-Autonomous FoBSM

Previous claims have held that Manchester has no involvement with the faceless FoBSM, especially considering TFO's word on the group:

The FoBSM, as understood by most, is an informal support group who act in the bishop's interest as they perceive that interest to be.

So then one's really gotta ask why he's an admin on its Facebook group (along with David Carter-Green and Ordo Sancti Graal).

In fact, its website contact info is a link to Bishop † Seán † Manchester, the blog in which Manchester answers readers' questions.

Strange Goings-On at Facebook

Lone Stranger has written a rather interesting blog entry called "Sean Edits THV Cover for Facebook Page!".

For some obscure reason, the cover of the first edition of The Highgate Vampire (1985), posted on the VRS Facebook page, has been given the Photoshop touch.

An image of the vampire has been conspicuously blurred, which prompted Mr. Stranger to say:

What's wrong Sean? Are you afraid the noobs on Facebook will recognize you and realize you are a fake?

This statement refers to certain claims that Sean Manchester painted himself up as a vampire for the purpose of taking pictures to accompany his book.

Of course, it's not the only picture on the page that has been given a strange tampering. Have a look at the big black smudges that surround David Farrant in this picture.

Mr. Stranger also noted something else interesting about the VRS Facebook page:

Hey and look at the organizers of the new VRS; there's Sean; our good buddy and sock puppet Arminus; and an actual real person from Bristol.

I previously noted that "Arminius" (a copy-n-paste plagiarist of TFO calibre) was also one of its admins.

But of particular interest, is that a new admin has been added to the VRS Facebook page ("an actual real person from Bristol").

His name is David Carter-Green, which keeps in the tradition of hyphenated surnames like the VRS's National Secretary, Katrina Garforth-Bles.

I've never even heard his name mentioned in association with the VRS before, or the Highgate Vampire Case, so his arrival on the scene is certainly a surprise. Especially his out-of-nowhere appointment as an admin on the VRS Facebook page.

Who knows what winning contributions he'll supply to this whole Affair?
